OWL Foundations: Oberlin College

Continuing our years-long partnership, OWL will be facilitating a 3-day OWL Foundations workshop for the Oberlin College SITES Program.

This workshop explores how understanding National Standards and proficiency-based instruction strategies can create an interactive, student-centered classroom. Student-Teachers leave with new techniques and ideas for high student engagement. Direct application with students is an exciting part of this workshop! Highlights include:

1. Application of State &National Standards
2. Strategies for eliciting student production
3. Techniques for high student engagement
4. Exploration of the 100% second language environment
5. Creation of proficiency-based lesson plans
