As the year ends, it can be a challenge to maintain interest and engagement. In this session we will focus on how to keep the play, interaction and community-focused language development going all the way until the end. We will incorporate ideas for all ages and levels of language acquisition. The ideas in this session will keep our students and us moving towards a strong, joyful finish in the target language!
Empowering Student Voice: Incorporating Authentic Literacy – May 2 – OWL Value: Empowerment
As our school year comes to a close, we want our students to leave our classrooms feeling confident and empowered to move to the next level in their language development. In this session we will focus on how bringing in authentic literacy at the level of your student’s language ability, will foster student ownership and spontaneous use of language. Through hands-on activities and modeling of the strategies, you will experience how to guide students to share and interact in the target language, while exposing them to relevant and authentic practices, perspectives and products. Join us for this session to keep our students engaged and motivated to continue their journey within the target language.
