Times: 8:15am-3:15pm

Pricing: 2. Minimum of 22 teachers in attendance, with the ability to add more. OWL will invoice following the training for more than 22 teachers. 3. Host site will provide resources and space as described above in the venue and logistics. 4. OWL will provide workshop resources. 5. The Host Site will incur travel and lodging costs. 6. OWL will use reasonable efforts to reserve affordable transportation and lodging with cancellation policies. 7. Host site will have a space and students available for student demos, if possible. 8. OWL will invoice and book travel upon completion of signing the Agreement.

Workshop Description: OWL Proficiency & Engagement Training This workshop explores the foundational understandings of OWL and it’s unique characteristics. Teachers experience high engagement strategies, and discuss how to immediately implement them in their classrooms. The training will reveal a structure that creates an interactive, student-directed classroom. Participants experience the strategies through demos and in whole and small groups. The focus is on an immersive, target language environment where students are highly engaged and intrinsically motivated. Teachers leave with new techniques and relationships for continued collaboration.

Workshop outcomes: ● Learn techniques for high student engagement ● Explore the immersive second language environment ● Be introduced to OWL Values & Characteristics ● Experience community building strategies and classroom application ● Discuss strategies for eliciting student production ● Evaluate proficiency & the connection to student engagement ● Participate in demo(s), with students when possible ● Practice the strategies and techniques
