SEL & Proficiency: How to Make a Student-Centered Paradigm Shift

This exciting in-person training is in Washington, D.C. at Hardy Middle School. It includes a Visitation Day and full-day training. Teachers will be able to experience a live classroom, and have time to debrief and apply the concepts to their own classroom and students. It is applicable for teachers of all levels, ages and languages.

Teachers will see how to connect with students and feel confident in the language acquisition journey. They will experience the techniques to effectively build community, stay in the target language and provide structure that will allow students to guide the learning. This is done through hands-on demos and strategies modeled by doing together. Classroom application of the concepts will be examined and discussed.  Each activity and debrief experience can be replicated in your classroom! The experience is dynamic, high-energy and interactive. Manipulatives and visuals easily and effectively explain the concepts.
