Burlingont Vermont OWL Application In-Person June Training

Workshop Description: OWL Application Training dives deeper into the understandings established in the OWL Foundations Training. Teachers still experience high engagement strategies, and discuss how to immediately implement them in their classrooms, however, this training goes goes further into planning, assessment, feedback, questioning strategies and a deeper exploration of PPATH and its application to your classroom and students. Participants experience the strategies through demos and in whole and small groups.  Teachers leave with new techniques and relationships for continued collaboration.

Workshop outcomes:

● Continue to add strategies to their toolbox for high student engagement

● Understand how to maintain an immersive second language environment

● Practice planning and creating a cohesive structure for class

● Experience community building strategies and classroom application

● Discuss strategies for improving questioning strategies

●Evaluate proficiency & its connection to assessment and feedback

●Experience demos at all levels

● Focus on incorporating authentic literacy
